Hot German Potato Salad

Potatoes, bacon, onion, combined with flour, sugar, salt, celery seed, pepper, water, and vinegar. Salad is prepared on the stovetop and served hot.
Ingredients -
 
4 medium Potatoes, boiled, cooled, cut into 1/4" slices
3 slices Bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces, cooked until crisp, reserve bacon fat
1 medium Onion, chopped
1 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour
1 tablespoon Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/4 tablespoon Celery Seed
dash of Pepper
1/2 cup Water
1/4 cup White Vinegar
 
Preparation:
 

1. In a large skillet, heat bacon fat over medium heat.

2. Saute onions in bacon fat until tender.

3. Reduce heat to low.

4. Stir in flour, sugar, celery seed, salt, and pepper.

5. Cook 2 minutes.

6. Add water and vinegar. Bring to a boil cook 1 minute.

7. Add potatoes and bacon, heat through.

8. Serve immediately.
